General Terms and Conditions:

  1. Unless otherwise specified, this promotion is not applicable to corporate account and Private Banking customers.
  2. No person other than the customer and Hang Seng Bank Limited (“Bank”) (which includes its successors and assigns) has any right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance to enforce or enjoy the benefit of any of the provisions of these terms and conditions.
  3. These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
  4. These terms and conditions are subject to prevailing regulatory requirements.
  5. The Bank reserves the right to suspend, vary or terminate this promotion and the relevant offers and to amend the relevant terms and conditions at any time and from time to time without prior notice.
  6. In case of any disputes, the decision of the Bank on all matters relating to this promotion and the relevant offers is final and binding on all the parties concerned. This promotion and the relevant offers are subject to the terms and conditions for the relevant products or services.
  7. In case of any discrepancy between the English and the Chinese versions of these terms and conditions, the English version prevails.

Specific Terms and Conditions for the Promotion of Foreign Exchange, Investment and Insurance Welcome Offer:

  1. The promotion period is from 1 January 2026 to 31 March 2026 (both dates inclusive) (“Promotion Period”)
  2. Fulfilment: Any cash reward under this promotion will be credited into the Hong Kong Dollar Savings Account of Eligible Customer on or before 30 September 2026. To enjoy any cash reward, each Eligible Customer must maintain the relevant account in his/ her sole name or as the primary account holder in a joint account on or before, 30 September 2026. Otherwise, he/she is deemed to have forfeited the right to receive the cash reward

Eligible Customer
  1. Selected Customer: Customer who has received an SMS text message / push notification or been informed by the Relationship Manager of this promotion during the Promotion Period and holds valid sole-named and/or joint-named personal integrated account(s) (including Prestige Private, Prestige Banking, Preferred Banking and Integrated Account) (“Eligible Account”) of the Bank. Only the principal account holder is eligible for this Offer 1 if the Eligible Account is a joint account
  2. New Prestige Customer: Customer who has opened a new Prestige Banking at the Bank branches or through digital channels (including Hang Seng Personal Banking mobile app / Hang Seng Personal e-Banking) during the Promotion Period, excluding:
    1. any existing customer who is holding any Hong Kong dollars / foreign currency savings, current, time deposit account or any Integrated Account at the Bank (including Prestige Banking, Preferred Banking, Green Banking and any other Integrated Account); or
    2. any person who has ever held any account mentioned in (i) above with the Bank in the previous 12 months prior to the account opening month; or
    3. any person whose account(s) mentioned in (i) above has /have been terminated at any time;
  3. Upgrade Prestige Customer: Customer who has upgraded to Prestige Banking at the Bank branches or through digital channels (including Hang Seng Personal Banking mobile app / Hang Seng Personal e-Banking) or phone banking hotline during the Promotion Period, excluding,
    1. any existing customer who is holding sole-named or joint-named Prestige Banking; or
    2. any person who has ever held any sole-named or joint-named Prestige Banking account with the Bank during the previous 12 months prior to the upgrade month; or
    3. any person whose account(s) has/have been terminated at any time;
  4. New Prestige Private Customer: Customer who has opened a new Prestige Private of the Bank during the Promotion Period, excluding:
    1. any existing customer who is holding any Hong Kong Dollars / Foreign Currency savings, current, time deposit account or any Integrated Account at the Bank (including Prestige Private, Prestige Banking, Preferred Banking, Green Banking and any other Integrated Account); or
    2. any person who has ever held any account mentioned in (i) above with the Bank in the previous 12-month period prior to the account opening month; or
    3. any person whose account(s) mentioned in (i) above has/have been terminated at any time; and
  5. Upgrade Prestige Private Customer: Customer who has upgraded to Prestige Private of the Bank during the Promotion Period, excluding,
    1. any existing Prestige Private customer; or
    2. any person who has ever held any Prestige Private account with the Bank in the previous 12-month period prior to the account opening month; or
    3. any person whose account(s) has/have been terminated at any time.
Offer Details Subject to these terms and conditions, Eligible Customer who exchanges a designated currency with a minimum of HKD 500,000 or its equivalent in a single transaction via a Designated Channel at the prevailing exchange rate offered by the Bank during the Promotion Period can enjoy a one-time cash reward of HKD500 or HKD1,000#:

Other Terms and Conditions
  1. For any cross currency exchange, the relevant transaction amount is determined and calculated in HKD equivalent with the exchange rate solely determined by the Bank on the transaction day.
  2. This Offer 1 is not applicable to any exchange transaction with special offer provided by the Bank staff and other exchange service, including but not limited to:
    1. Inward and outward remittance (e.g. Overseas Transfer and Global Money+);
    2. Notes exchange, deposit and withdrawal;
    3. FX Order Watch;
    4. Foreign exchange transaction(s) made on pre-defined dates by way of forward dated instruction(s);
    5. FPS x PromptPay QR Payment (Thailand);
    6. Paper Gold and FX investment (e.g. FX2, MaxiInterest Deposits, Capital Protected Investment Deposit, FX and Precious Metal Margin Trading 101); and
    7. Multi-Currency Debit Mastercard® spending and withdrawal.
  3. Unless otherwise specified, this Offer 1 cannot be used in conjunction with other offers.

Offer 2: HKD1,000 Cash Reward for application for Designated Life Insurance Plan
Transaction Channel Branch or Video Remote Application (each a “Designated Channel” in this Offer 2)
Eligible Customer Customer who is eligible for Offer 1 and meets the following requirements:
  • Successfully applies for any Designated Life Insurance Plan(s) as policyholder during the Promotion Period via branch/video remote application (“Eligible Policyholder”); and
  • The relevant policy must have been successfully issued within 45 days (for guaranteed acceptance or simplified underwriting policies) or 90 days (for full underwriting or premium financing policies) after the date of application (“Eligible Policy”).
Offer Details Subject to these terms and conditions, Eligible Customer who successfully applies for a Designated Life Insurance Plan via a Designated Channel during the Promotion Period can enjoy HKD1,000 cash reward.
“Designated Life Insurance Plans” are DragonPower Life Insurance Plan, PhoenixPower Life Insurance Plan, IncomePower Life Insurance Plan, LegendPower Life Insurance Plan 2, LegendPower Life Insurance Plan (Supreme) and FamilyPower Multi-Currency Life Insurance Plan 2.
Other Terms and Conditions
  1. Each Eligible Customer can only enjoy this Offer 2 once only.
  2. Any application for the above Designated Life Insurance Plan which is unposted/cancelled or has premium refunded does not qualify for this Offer 2.
  3. Only Eligible Policyholders who are Eligible Customers and whose Eligible Policy(ies) is/are still effective on the expiry of the cooling-off period are eligible for this Offer 2, subject to all the terms and conditions herein.
  4. Any transaction which is eventually cancelled / returned or found to be fraudulent is considered as an ineligible transaction which does not qualify for this Offer 2.
  5. This Offer 2 is jointly offered by the Bank and Hang Seng Insurance Company Limited (“Hang Seng Insurance”). The decision of the Bank and Hang Seng Insurance in relation to this Offer 2 is final and conclusive, which is binding on all parties concerned.
  6. Hang Seng Insurance has the right to decide whether or not to accept the insurance application based on information provided by the Eligible Policyholders and/or the life insured upon application.
  7. The Bank and Hang Seng Insurance reserve the right to adjust, withdraw or cancel this Offer 2 and to amend or revise any of these terms and conditions at any time and from time to time without prior notice and without assigning any reasons whatsoever.
  8. No person other than the Eligible Policyholder, the Bank (which includes its successors and assigns) and Hang Seng Insurance (which includes its successors and assigns) has any right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance to enforce or enjoy the benefit of any of the provision of the terms and conditions in relation to this Offer 2.
Disclosure of Information
  • This document by itself is not and should not be considered as an offer, recommendation or solicitation to deal in any of the insurance products or services mentioned herein.   • The above Designated Life Insurance Plans are underwritten by Hang Seng Insurance. Hang Seng Insurance is authorised and regulated by the Insurance Authority in Hong Kong. The Bank is an insurance agency authorised by Hang Seng Insurance for distribution of these plans, and the insurance products are products of Hang Seng Insurance but not the Bank. Upon application for these plans, insurance premium will be payable to Hang Seng Insurance, and Hang Seng Insurance will provide the Bank with commission and performance bonus as remuneration for distribution of these plans. The existing staff remuneration policy on sales offered by the Bank takes into account various aspects of the staff performance instead of focusing solely on the sales amount.
  • In respect of an eligible dispute (as defined in the Terms of Reference for the Financial Dispute Resolution Centre in relation to the Financial Dispute Resolution Scheme) arising between the Bank and you out of the selling process or processing of the related insurance product transactions, the Bank will enter into a Financial Dispute Resolution Scheme process with you; however, any dispute over the contractual terms of the insurance products should be resolved between Hang Seng Insurance and you directly.

Offer 3: Cash reward of up to HK$800 for Subscription of “Relevant Investment Products”

Eligible Customer Customers who are eligible for Offer 1 and meet the following requirements:
  • existing Prestige Private / Prestige Banking / Preferred Banking or Integrated Account personal customers who did not have any subscriptions and/or switching of Investment Funds (excluding the funds subscribed through Hang Seng Monthly Investment Plan for Funds and fund subscriptions via SimplyFund Account (under the account number suffix of 384)), or any subscription for Structured Products, secondary market bonds, MaxiInterest Investment Deposit, Capital Protected Investment Deposit and/ or Certificate of Deposit Product , in each case, between 1 July 2025 and 31 December 2025 via any integrated account(s); or
  • customers who are New Prestige Customers, Upgrade to Prestige Customer, or New Prestige Private Customer or Upgrade to Prestige Private Customer (each as defined in the section headed ”Eligible Customer” in Offer 1 above) during the Promotion Period.

Other Terms and Conditions
  1. The Offer is calculated on a "per-Eligible Customer basis".
  2. Any investment application made after the cut-off time of the Relevant Investment Products on 31 March 2026 will not be regarded as investment application made during the Promotion Period and will not be counted towards the Accumulated Investment Amount within the Promotion Period. All such applications will be handled in the next dealing day. Please note that the cut-off time for different investment products through different channels may vary. Eligible Customers are advised to check the cut-off time for the Relevant Investment Product with our staff.
  3. About “Accumulated Investment Amount”:
    • The Accumulated Investment Amount of Relevant Investment Products will be calculated in Hong Kong dollar. Only the value of successfully completed transactions in Prestige Private/ Prestige Banking account will be counted in determining the Accumulated Investment Amount, and the value of any cancelled or unsuccessful transactions will be excluded. If Eligible Customers hold more than one Prestige Private / Prestige Banking account, the Cumulative Investment Amount of the Relevant Investment Product(s) in all such accounts will be combined. If the Relevant Investment Products invested during the Promotion Period are denominated in currency other than Hong Kong dollar, the Accumulated Investment Amount within the Promotion Period will be calculated by converting it into Hong Kong dollar based on the exchange rate as solely determined by the Bank on the last dealing day of March 2026.
    • During the Promotion Period, if an Eligible Customer’s subscription or switching transactions of Relevant Investment Products are determined solely by the Bank as overly frequent or the holding period is too short, the Bank reserves the right to exclude such transactions when calculating the relevant Accumulated Investment Amount.
  4. The Offer is applicable to Eligible Customer’s subscription for and/or switching to any investment funds distributed by the Bank (except for the funds set out in paragraph 5 below) through general subscription, Advanced Switching Service#, the General Fund Switching Service and/or Investment Financing Service (under the account number suffix of 388), subscription for Structured Products (including structured products linked to equities, funds, indexes , forex or interest rates offered by the Bank), purchase of secondary market bonds (except for the bonds set out in paragraph 5 below), subscribe for MaxiInterest Investment Deposit, Capital Protected Investment Deposit and/ or Certificate of Deposit Product through the designated subscription channels of the Bank during the Promotion Period.
  5. The Offer is not applicable to fund subscription through Hang Seng Monthly Investment Plan for Funds, fund subscriptions via SimplyFund account (under the account number suffix of 384), fund subscription with no subscription fees, money market funds, and other funds/ fund transactions as specified by the Bank from time to time; and is not applicable to any bonds purchased from initial public offerings.
  6. The Accumulated Investment Amount is calculated on a "per-Eligible Customer basis". If Eligible Customers hold more than one Prestige Private/ Prestige Banking account, the cumulative investment amount of the Relevant Investment Products will be combined.
  7. In case the relevant Prestige Private/ Prestige Banking account is a joint-named account, only the primary account holder can enjoy the Offer. Each Eligible Customer will only be eligible for a maximum of HKD800 Cash Reward (with the Cash Reward amount depending on the Accumulated Investment Amount).

RMB Currency Risk

Renminbi ("RMB") is subject to exchange rate risk. Fluctuation in the exchange rate of RMB may result in losses in the event that the customer subsequently converts RMB into another currency (including Hong Kong Dollars). Exchange controls imposed by the relevant authorities may also adversely affect the applicable exchange rate. RMB is currently not freely convertible and conversion of RMB may be subject to certain policy, regulatory requirements and/or restrictions (which are subject to changes from time to time without notice). The actual conversion arrangement will depend on the policy, regulatory requirements and/or restrictions prevailing at the relevant time.


Foreign Currency Risk

Foreign Exchange involves Exchange Rate Risk. Fluctuations in the exchange rate of a foreign currency may result in gains or loss of principal in the event that the customer converts the deposits from Hong Kong Dollars or foreign currency to another currency, and/or in the event that the customer converts a foreign currency time deposit to another currency (including Hong Kong Dollar) upon maturity. Such fluctuations may also result in gains or losses in the event that the customer converts HKD to foreign currency or vice versa, and/or in the event that the customer converts a foreign currency policy benefit to HKD upon settlement.


Risk Disclosure of Investment Funds

  • Certain terms and conditions (including some of the key dates) of MXI can be adjusted by the Bank in certain circumstances. The MXI may be terminated early by the Bank. This might have a negative impact on the product's return.

Risk Disclosure of Currency-Linked Capital Protected Investment Deposit

  • CPI is a structured product involving derivatives. You should not only base on this material alone to make any investment decisions.   • CPI is not listed on any stock exchange and is not covered by the Investor Compensation Fund.
  • Investing in CPI is not the same as buying the Underlying Currency Pair directly.
  • Renminbi (RMB) is subject to foreign exchange control by the PRC government and thus investors investing in the CPI involving RMB are subject to the currency risk of RMB.
  • Certain terms and conditions (including some of the key dates) of CPI can be adjusted by the Bank. The CPI may be terminated early by the Bank. This might have a negative impact on the product’s Return / Coupon (if any).

Risk disclosure of Bond or Certificate of Deposit Product

  • Bonds and Certificates of Deposit (CDs) are investment products. The investment decision is yours but you should not invest in a bond/CD unless the intermediary who sells it to you has explained to you that the bond/CD is suitable to you having regard to your financial situation, investment experience and investment objectives. Your intermediary is under a duty to assure that you understand the nature and risks of this product, and that you have sufficient net worth to be able to assume the risks and bear the potential losses of trading in this product.
  • Bonds are not deposits and should not be treated as substitute for conventional time deposits.
  • Certificate of Deposit is not a protected deposit and is not protected by the Deposit Protection Scheme in Hong Kong.
  • Investors who purchase bonds/CDs are exposed to the credit risk of the issuer and guarantor (if any) of the bonds/CDs. There is no assurance of protection against a default by the issuer/guarantor in respect of the repayment obligations. In the worst case scenario, any failure by the issuer and the guarantor (if any) to perform their respective obligations under the bonds/CDs when due may result in a total loss of all of your investment.
