Hang Seng GBA Outward Remittance

For commercial customers successfully making outward remittances to GBA or other cities in Mainland China via Hang Seng Business e-Banking or Hang Seng HSBCnet before 5:45pmFootnote remark [4, 5], the CNY remittance will be processed on the same day. To offer a speedy remittance service, outward to beneficiary accounts held with designated banks* to be processed in minutes and to be credited in as fast as 5 minutes at the earliest.


Handling Fee Waivers

From 1 October 2024 to 31 December 2024Footnote remark [3], outward remittances to Hang Seng Bank (China) are entitled to handling fee waivers. Furthermore, outward remittances to China via Hang Seng Business banking / Hang Seng HSBCnet are entitled to fee waiver for surcharge of applications with Chinese characters.

General Terms & Conditions:

  • Only applicable to the commercial customers of Hang Seng Bank Limited (“the Bank”).
  • Only applicable for outward remittances to Hang Seng Bank (China) or Bank of Communications placed via Hang Seng Business e-Banking or Hang Seng HSBCnet, or submit Remittance Smartform via branch for outward remittances to Hang Seng Bank (China), not applicable to submit Remittance Smartform for outward remittances to Bank of Communications.
  • Service is subject to the fulfillment of the conditions of straight-through processing (e.g. debit account with sufficient funds, correct / complete beneficiary information including beneficiary account number and beneficiary bank's SWIFT code).
  • Service is not available to large amount remittances, transactions which are restricted by Mainland legal and regulatory authorities and transactions which require foreign exchange or declarations. Export proceeds including prepayment for exports will be placed in a transitory account before validation with the records at Customs.
  • If the remittance proceeds from Mainland exports, customers are recommended to specify "Mainland China Export Related Proceeds" to facilitate handling by the beneficiary bank.
  • The Bank reserves the right to vary the offers and amend their terms and conditions without prior notice. In the case of any disputes, the Bank’s decision shall be conclusive. The Bank reserves the right of final decision on all matters relating to the above offers. In case there is any discrepancy between the Chinese and English versions of these terms and conditions, the English version shall prevail.

Hang Seng GBA Inward Remittance

If your remitters assign Hang Seng Bank (China)Footnote remark [1] as the correspondent bank* or submit the remittance instruction in Hang Seng Bank (China) and forwarded to Hang Seng Bank (Hong Kong) before cut-off time, no matter CNY, USD or any other major currencies, all inward remittances will be credited to your accounts credited to your accounts in as fast as 5 minutesFootnote remark [2]. With funds more readily available, you can enjoy greater financial flexibility.


* To assign Hang Seng Bank (China) as the correspondent bank (where the remitter account is maintained with any other bank in mainland China or overseas), please provide your remitter below the details of the correspondent bank should be filled out:
