Terms and Conditions for “General Insurance Festive Reward” Campaign

  1. “General Insurance Festive Reward” Campaign (“Campaign”) will be held by Hang Seng Bank Limited (“Hang Seng Bank”) during the period from 1 October 2024 to 31 December 2024 (both dates inclusive) (“Promotion Period”).
  2. The Campaign is only applicable to personal customers of Hang Seng Bank with Prestige Private, Prestige Banking, Preferred Banking, Integrated Account, Family+ Account, Savings / Current Account or Hang Seng Credit Card (“Eligible Participants”), who during the Promotion Period will have satisfied all criteria below:
    • maintain a valid Hong Kong local mobile number in Hang Seng Bank for receiving SMS;
    • successfully apply designated general insurance plan(s) (“Designated Insurance Plans”) online via Hang Seng Bank within the Promotion Period;

    • the purchased Designated Insurance Plan(s) (except Travelsure Protection Plan (Single Trip Cover)) must remain effective on 28 February 2025; and

  4. The Grand Prize Lucky Draw will be held in January 2025 after the end of the Promotion Period, and 1 winner will be drawn.
  5. Each prize of the Grand Prize Lucky Draw (“Grand Prize”) is 2 round-trip business class flight tickets between Hong Kong and Tokyo of Japan. Please note that all taxes and surcharges applicable to the Grand Prize shall be borne by the Grand Prize Lucky Draw winner. Blackout periods apply and the round-trip tickets are subject to seat availability of flights. The booking of the round-trip tickets is subject to relevant terms and conditions set by the provider of the gift. Once the booking is made, the tickets are non-refundable and non-changeable.   6. Hang Seng Bank will inform the winner of the result on or before 28 February 2025 via SMS to the mobile number registered in Hang Seng Bank. Winners will obtain a redemption code to redeem Grand Prize. The Designated Insurance Plan(s) (except Travelsure Protection Plan (Single Trip Cover)) purchased by the winners in Clause 2 above must still be effective on the day of dispatching the Grand Prize to the winners.

Hang Seng Bank reserves the right to suspend, revise or terminate any of the Terms and Conditions of this Campaign and/or adjust, withdraw or cancel this Campaign and/or any of the rewards / prizes at any time without prior notice and without giving any reasons whatsoever. The decision(s) of Hang Seng Bank on all matters relating to this promotion and relevant offers shall be final and binding on all parties concerned. In case of any disputes, the decision of Hang Seng Bank shall be final.
  9. Hang Seng Bank reserves the right to vary or replace rewards and prizes of this Campaign with other substitutes at any time without prior notice and without giving any reason. The value and/or nature of the substitutes may differ from the original rewards / prizes offered.
  10. Hang Seng Bank has the sole discretion to determine the eligibility of the participant for the Grand Prize Lucky Draw. In case of any disputes, the record of Hang Seng Bank shall be final.
  11. The Grand Prize cannot be cancelled, altered, transferred, returned, refunded or exchanged for cash by any winner under any circumstances. Apart from the responsibilities stipulated by law, Hang Seng Bank accepts no liability for any loss, damage or impact resulting from the prizes.
  12. For prizes supplied by third parties, Hang Seng Bank shall not be responsible for any legal liabilities related to the prizes. The suppliers of the prizes shall be solely responsible for all issues relating to the prizes including quality and availability. Any disputes or complaints relating to the prizes shall be settled between the winners and suppliers directly.
  13. If for any reason this Campaign does not operate as planned which includes but not limited to computer virus, bugs, worms, Trojan horses, denial of service attacks, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Hang Seng Bank that corrupt or affect the administration, system security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Campaign, Hang Seng Bank reserves the right and sole discretion to disqualify any Eligible Participant and retrieve the prizes without prior notice.
  14. Any transactions which are eventually cancelled, returned or found to be fraudulent will be ineligible for the entry of the Grand Prize lucky draw.
  15. Hang Seng Bank shall not be held liable for any delay, disruption or non-availability of the Campaign. Hang Seng Bank shall not accept any liability, obligation or legal responsibility for not being able to hold, organize or arrange the Grand Prize lucky draw.
  16. Unless otherwise specified, Eligible Participants can enjoy the rewards / prizes in this Campaign in conjunction with other promotional offers.
  17. No person other than the Eligible Participants and Hang Seng Bank (which includes its successors and assigns) will have any right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance to enforce or enjoy the benefit of any of the provision of these Terms and Conditions.
  18. These Terms and Conditions are governed by and will be construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
  19. In case of any discrepancy between the English and the Chinese versions of these Terms and Conditions, the English version shall prevail.

The above general insurance plans ("these Plan") are underwritten by Chubb Insurance Hong Kong Limited (“Chubb”) which is authorized and regulated in Hong Kong SAR by the Insurance Authority. Chubb reserves the right of final approval of the policy issuance. Hang Seng Bank Limited ("Hang Seng Bank") is registered as an insurance agency by the Insurance Authority (License No.: FA3168) and authorized by Chubb for distribution of these Plans. These Plans are a product of Chubb and not Hang Seng Bank. Upon application to these Plans, insurance premium will be payable to Chubb, and Chubb will provide Hang Seng Bank with commission and performance bonus as remuneration for distribution of these Plans. The existing staff remuneration policy on sales offered by Hang Seng Bank takes into account various aspects of the staff performance instead of focusing solely on the sales amount.


In respect of an eligible dispute (as defined in the Terms of Reference for the Financial Dispute Resolution Centre in relation to the Financial Dispute Resolution Scheme) arising between Hang Seng Bank and the customer out of the selling process or processing of the related transaction, Hang Seng Bank is required to enter into a Financial Dispute Resolution Scheme process with the customer; however, any dispute over the contractual terms of the insurance product, underwriting, claims and policy service should be resolved directly between Chubb and the customer.
