Eligible customers who successfully register for PayDay+ welcome offer from 2 January 2025 – 5 May 2025 ("Promotion Period") via Hang Seng Mobile App and set up payroll service using Prestige Private / Prestige / Preferred Banking Account (“Payroll Account”) by 31 May 2025 can earn the preferential HKD Savings Rate as stipulated in the table below.

The Preferential HKD Savings Rate (includes Bonus HKD Savings Rate and the Bank’s prevailing HKD Savings Rate*) will be offered for a maximum of 3 months based on the customer's deposit balance maintained in the HKD Savings Account of the Payroll Account (“Eligible HKD Savings Account”).

First HKD200,000 or below Up to 1.8%
(Bonus HKD Savings Rate of 1.55% + prevailing HKD Savings Rate*)

    Remarks:
    *As at 2 January 2025, the Bank’s prevailing HKD Savings Rate is 0.25% p.a. for HKD5,000 or above. The prevailing HKD Savings Rate quoted above is indicative and for reference only. The rate is not guaranteed and is subject to review according to changes in market conditions from time to time at the Bank’s sole discretion. Please browse the Bank’s website or check with branch staff for the latest prevailing HKD Savings Rate.

  1. The offer is only applicable to customers without any payroll record with the Bank during 1 October 2024 – 31 December 2024.
  2. If the customer fails to maintain an eligible payroll record with the Bank after the commencement of the offer period, the Preferential HKD Savings Rate will be revoked and the prevailing HKD savings rate will immediately apply thereafter without prior notice. The offer will not be reinstated in any circumstances once revoked.
  3. The offer cannot be used in conjunction with other promotional offer(s) of the same product or savings offers of the same currency (including but not limited to Mortgage-link Loan Scheme, 2024 Quarter 3 and 2024 Quarter 4 Hang Seng PayDay+ Promotion (Quarter 3: 2 July 2024 – 30 September 2024, Quarter 4: 2 October 2024 – 31 December 2024)).

FAQs

You have to register for PayDay+ welcome offer during the promotion period and transfer your payroll credit to Hang Seng using your Prestige Private / Prestige / Preferred Banking Account by 31 May 2025, with the HKD salary directly credited to your account from the employer’s company account via Autopay.

Please note that salary transfer instruction not indicated for payroll purpose may not be considered as an eligible payroll record. Any salary transferred on public holiday / after the cut-off time of the Bank will be processed on the next working day. If the next working day falls in the following month, your identity as payroll customer will be updated in the Bank’s record in the subsequent month.

Prevailing HKD Savings Rate will apply to any deposits amount in excess of the cap (i.e. HKD300,000). Please browse the Bank’s website for latest Prevailing HKD Savings Rate.

No, this offer is only applicable to the first HKD300,000 deposit balance maintained in the HKD Savings Account under the Prestige Private / Prestige / Preferred Banking Account used for payroll service.

If you have registered for the welcome offers of both promotions, only the latest registration will be processed. If you are already entitled to any rewards under the 2024 Quarter 3 (2 July 2024 – 30 September 2024) or 2024 Quarter 4 (2 October 2024 – 31 December 2024) PayDay+ Promotion, you will not be eligible to join this promotion.

#Mobile Account Opening / Upgrade is not available to customers who only hold Hang Seng credit cards or joint-named Integrated Accounts or already hold a sole-named Prestige Banking account. Customers who are new to Hang Seng can make deposits right away after successful Mobile Account Opening, full banking services (e.g. cash withdrawal from account) will be available after 2 working days and ATM card will be dispatched by mail within 5 working days. If you are existing Hang Seng customers, you can enjoy full banking services right away after successful Mobile Account Opening. If you are upgrading your existing Integrated Account or Preferred Banking account to Preferred or Prestige Banking, your application will be processed within 2 to 3 working days.
